Terms of Service — Cooking Timers

These Terms of Service govern your use of the app, website, and services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Domestic Arts LLC, DBA Cooking Timers™ and Free Cooking Timers™. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who We Are

Domestic Arts LLC operates the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Cooking Timers Libraries

Cooking Timers offers a paid Libraries subscription that provides access to features including:

Unlimited Recipe Box
Unlimited Project Box
Recipe and DIY project imports
Video importing
Inspiration Boards for DIY projects
Meal Planning
Smart Grocery Lists
Smart Materials Lists
Metric ↔ U.S. Measurement Converter
Smart Cooking Timers
Smart Project Timers
Collections
Sharing
Printing
Device syncing
AI-generated cover images
Other current Libraries features

Your subscription includes 10 complimentary AI-generated cover images in total. These do not reset monthly. Additional AI-generated covers may be purchased separately if you choose.

Video importing is included with your Libraries subscription and does not require a separate Video Import balance or usage purchase.

4. Subscription Plans, Billing, and Renewal

Plans

Cooking Timers currently offers:

Monthly — $9.99 per month
Yearly — $79.99 per year

Legacy pricing may continue for certain existing grandfathered subscribers but is not available to new customers.

Payment Processing

Subscriptions and optional purchases made on the Cooking Timers website are processed securely through Stripe.

Subscriptions and AI Cover credit purchases made inside the Cooking Timers app for Apple devices are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. App Store prices are displayed by Apple for your country or region and currency and are subject to Apple’s applicable terms and policies.

AI Cover credits are one-time consumable purchases. They are added to your Cooking Timers account balance, are not a subscription, do not expire, and are not exchangeable for cash.

By subscribing on the website, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for the recurring price of the plan you select and any optional purchases you choose to make.

Cooking Timers does not receive or store your full payment-card information.

Free Trial

Eligible first-time subscribers receive a 7-day free trial on either the Monthly or Yearly plan.

A payment method is required to begin the trial.

The free trial is available only to customers who have not previously had a Cooking Timers subscription.

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, Stripe will automatically charge the payment method on file for the plan you selected:

$9.99 for the Monthly plan, or
$79.99 for the Yearly plan

If you cancel during the trial, you will not be charged for the first subscription period, and your trial access continues until the trial ends.

Automatic Renewal

Your subscription automatically renews at the interval of the plan you selected:

Monthly subscriptions renew monthly.
Yearly subscriptions renew annually.

Your subscription will continue renewing until you cancel it.

Plan Changes

Eligible Monthly subscribers may be offered the option to change to the Yearly plan.

When available, the change takes effect at the next renewal date rather than immediately, and no immediate plan-change charge is made.

Available plan-change options may vary depending on your current plan, subscription status, or legacy pricing.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time.

If you subscribed on the Cooking Timers website, manage or cancel your subscription through Manage Billing in your Cooking Timers account.

If you subscribed through the Apple App Store, manage or cancel your subscription through Apple’s subscription management. Cooking Timers cannot cancel an App Store subscription on your behalf.

For a normal subscription cancellation:

cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing or trial period
you retain Libraries access until that period ends
your subscription will not renew after that date

Canceling a subscription does not delete your Cooking Timers account.

6. Refunds and Credits

Subscription payments and other purchases made directly through Cooking Timers are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

Cooking Timers does not provide:

refunds for unused subscription time
partial or prorated refunds
credits for unused subscription time
account credits for unused subscription time

Purchases billed through the Apple App Store are administered by Apple and are subject to Apple’s applicable refund process and policies. Refund decisions for purchases billed by Apple are made by Apple. Cooking Timers does not independently issue refunds for App Store purchases.

If you permanently delete your account, no refund, prorated refund, or credit will be issued for any unused portion of your current subscription period.

7. Permanent Account Deletion

Deleting your Cooking Timers account permanently deletes your account data and ends your Cooking Timers access. Any subscription billed directly by Cooking Timers is cancelled as part of account deletion. An App Store subscription is billed and managed by Apple and is not cancelled by deleting your Cooking Timers account. You must cancel an App Store subscription separately through Apple’s subscription management. Account deletion does not provide a refund or credit for unused subscription time.

You may permanently delete your Cooking Timers account through the account settings available within the Service.

Permanent account deletion is different from normal subscription cancellation.

When you delete your account:

any subscription billed directly by Cooking Timers is cancelled immediately
billing by Cooking Timers stops
your access ends immediately
unused subscription time ends immediately
no refund, prorated refund, or credit is issued
your saved Cooking Timers content is permanently deleted
share links you created stop working
pending timer alerts and push-notification subscriptions associated with your account are removed
customer-owned stored files are removed where they are not still legitimately referenced by another customer or shared system resource
your sign-in account is permanently deleted

Saved content that may be deleted includes recipes, DIY projects, collections, Inspiration Boards, meal plans, Smart Grocery Lists, Smart Materials Lists, notes, private notes, timers, photos, source images, uploaded files, and cover images.

Account deletion cannot be undone.

We may retain limited records where reasonably necessary for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment disputes, deletion auditing, or honoring email-suppression preferences.

8. Account Setup After Checkout

Cooking Timers may allow you to purchase a subscription before creating or signing into your Cooking Timers account.

If you subscribe before creating an account, you must complete account setup using the same email address used during checkout so your subscription can be linked to your account.

Cooking Timers does not automatically create an account on your behalf.

9. Your Content

You retain whatever ownership rights you have in the content you create, upload, scan, import, save, process, organize, or share through the Service, subject to any rights held by the original owners of third-party source material.

Your content may include:

recipes
DIY projects
ingredients and materials
instructions
notes and private notes
saved timers
collections
Inspiration Boards
meal plans
Smart Grocery Lists
Smart Materials Lists
uploaded files
photos and screenshots
scanned images
uploaded videos
imported source text and images
cover images
AI-generated cover images
other content you choose to save through the Service

By using the Service, you grant Domestic Arts LLC a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, and technically adapt Your Content as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the Service.

This includes processing necessary for features you choose to use, such as:

syncing content across devices
importing and processing recipes and DIY projects
processing text, images, or videos through third-party AI services
generating AI cover images
preparing printable content
storing uploaded media
fetching and storing imported source images where applicable
displaying content through share links you create

This license is limited to providing, operating, maintaining, improving, and supporting the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload, import, save, or share any content you use with the Service and that your content does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.

You represent that you own the content you upload, scan, import, save, or share, or that you have the rights, permissions, or other lawful authority necessary to use it through the Service.

Cooking Timers does not grant you ownership of, or any rights in, third-party material. Copyright and other rights in third-party recipes, photographs, videos, books, social-media content, websites, and similar source material remain with their respective owners. Importing or saving material through the Service does not transfer any of those rights to you or to Domestic Arts LLC.

Do not upload or share content you do not have the right to use.

10. Sharing

Cooking Timers allows you to create shareable links for certain content, including:

recipes
DIY projects
Inspiration Boards
meal plans
Smart Grocery Lists
Smart Materials Lists

Share links are generally unlisted and do not require the viewer to sign in.

Anyone who has a valid share link may be able to view the content made available through that link.

You are responsible for the content you choose to make accessible through a share link.

Domestic Arts LLC does not claim ownership of third-party content merely because you choose to share it through the Service.

Shared views are designed not to expose your private notes or account identity.

You may revoke supported share links through the Service, after which the previous link will no longer provide access to the shared content.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its security systems.
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except where expressly permitted by law.
Use automated systems to access, scrape, or extract content from the Service without permission.
Upload malicious software, viruses, harmful code, or intentionally harmful files.
Upload, import, reproduce, distribute, or share content in violation of another person's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other intellectual-property or proprietary rights.
Abuse or automate AI, import, scanning, or other processing systems in a manner not intended by the Service.
Attempt to bypass subscription requirements, purchase controls, usage limitations, security protections, or account restrictions.
Misuse share links or use the Service to distribute unlawful, malicious, or infringing content.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms are being violated.

12. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, code, trademarks, branding, interface, and original materials provided by Domestic Arts LLC, is owned by or licensed to Domestic Arts LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service or Domestic Arts LLC intellectual property to you.

Your ownership of Your Content is addressed separately in Section 9.

Third-party content that you import or reference may remain subject to the intellectual-property rights of its original owner.

You are responsible for having appropriate rights or permission to use third-party content.

Copyright Complaints

If you believe material made accessible through the Service infringes your rights, contact us at support@cookingtimers.app. Please include enough information for us to investigate, including: a description of the protected work; a description of the material you believe is infringing; where that material appears in or through the Service; your name and contact information; and any other information that would help us evaluate the claim.

Domestic Arts LLC may remove or disable access to material where we consider it appropriate to do so.

13. AI, Imports, Measurements, Timers, and Safety

Cooking Timers provides tools designed to assist with recipes, DIY projects, imports, measurements, organization, and timing.

Some information may be generated, extracted, interpreted, converted, or organized automatically.

AI-generated or imported recipes, ingredients, measurements, DIY instructions, materials, timers, and other information may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances.

You are responsible for independently verifying information before relying on it.

In particular:

Always follow appropriate food-safety practices.
Verify cooking temperatures and doneness independently.
Review ingredients for allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions.
Verify measurements and Metric ↔ U.S. conversions before relying on them where accuracy is important.
Confirm DIY measurements, materials, instructions, safety precautions, and product directions.
Follow manufacturer instructions for tools, materials, appliances, chemicals, paints, adhesives, and other products.
Do not rely solely on Cooking Timers notifications for safety-critical timing.

Timer and notification delivery may depend on your device, operating system, browser, notification permissions, network connection, and background-processing restrictions. We do not guarantee that every notification will be delivered at an exact time.

Cooking timers, recipes, DIY projects, and other information provided through the Service are offered for convenience and assistance only.

You are responsible for ensuring your food is cooked safely and properly and for safely carrying out any DIY project you undertake.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or that all generated, imported, converted, or displayed information will be accurate or complete.

Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Domestic Arts LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Domestic Arts LLC from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of:

your use of the Service
Your Content
content you upload, import, or share
your violation of these Terms
your violation of applicable law or another person's rights

17. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time.

Normal subscription cancellation is governed by Section 5.

Permanent account deletion is governed by Section 7.

Domestic Arts LLC may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, created security or legal risk, or where suspension or termination is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect the Service or its users.

Upon termination of your access, your right to use the Service may cease.

Nothing in this section changes any rights or obligations that by their nature should survive termination, including provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, payment obligations, and applicable legal requirements.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

When we do, we will post the revised Terms through the Service and update the “Last updated” date.

Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
